The Backstory: Mid 2009 Trevor and his spouse Lisa had their second child. During the first weeks, Trevor soon found that the only way to get the boy to sleep was to sing to him. Many nights of singing and sleep deprivation plus easy availability of Garageband and a Condenser Mic led Trevor to believe that he could just ‘put together’ an album at home. Some songs were actually written with the new born boy being rocked in Trevor‘s arms.
Theresa joined in sometime early on because someone had to be in sound mind and body to actually bring the thing to life. Together they carefully recorded track after track, with the idea to distill each song to its bare essence with minimal instrumentation.
The result is infant songs. You might say it was a difficult birth, but now that it’s here we’re glad that it is.
